Portrait Workshop with Patrick Pfister
When: Sunday, September 29, 1-4pm
Where: Louisville Water Tower
Sharpen your portrait skills with commercial photographer Patrick Pfister. Various portrait styles will be covered including enviromental, formal and candid. Camera and lens selection, types of lighting and advice for working with models will also be discussed. Class size will be limited to 25 participants. Fee for the day is $25.00 per student.

Silver Gelatin Darkroom Printing Workshop with Fred DiGiovanni
When: Saturday, October 5, 2019 10-12pm and 1:30-3:30 (This session will take place only if the first session is filled.)
Where: 1819 Harvard Drive (enter through garage door)
A demonstration of the process used to make gelatin silver prints from a black and white negative to the final exhibition image. Class size will be limited to 6 participants with a 4 person minimum.
Cost: $50.00

Learn how to create a successful nude portrait session with a strong aesthetic, built on respect and consent. Put your subject at ease and find the best, most flattering light for capturing the beauty of the human form. Participants will have the opportunity to work with a professional model. Intermediate to Advance knowledge of camera required. All participants must bring a digital SLR and memory card.

In this class, students will learn about how to see light and solve challenges to flatter the subject in both artificial and natural settings. Topics covered include: High contrast lighting, low lighting situations, how to use light to flatter your subject, and best professional practices when directing your subject. Cyanotypes: Fun with the Blues Workshop

Patrick Pfister will provide simple demos on lighting portraits and Dean Lavenson will cover basic lighting for still life photography.
