Artist Backgrounds
Bruce Campbell is a retired Mechanical Engineer who worked for the US Air Force at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. He has been involved in photography since the early 1970’s when he built his own darkroom and started taking classes in photography, specifically on alternative techniques such as cyanotype, gum bichromate, van dyke brown and platinum/palladium.
Douglas Taylor grew up in Dayton as well and attended Ohio University, Ohio Institute of Photography, Wright State University, University of Dayton and Carnegie Mellon University. His interest in photography started in his early twenties and the seventeen workshops he has taken have provided a solid foundation for the processes he uses to create prints based on nature, landscape, architecture and urban spaces. He is currently printing platinum-palladium prints, polymer plate photogravure prints and archival pigment prints.
