PYRO Gallery presents the work of its four Photographic artist members for the 2013 Photo Bienniel. The works will be on display from October 3 – November 16, 2013.
Keith Auerbach’s latest work The Next Call: Letter Forms begins with original text, print, fonts, hieroglyphs, and graffiti and transforms them into intriguing abstract images.
James Norton is a Photographer, Imager and Printmaker His latest work shows the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. His work simultaneously grieves the inexorable loss of structure and follows the contextual path that leads the viewer to a new memory and a new shared experience.
In 2001 C.J. Pressma was one of 84 artists selected by the Brooklyn Museum of Art for its landmark exhibition: Digital Printmaking Now. Pressma portrays the mystery and surreal quality of the urban and natural landscape through prints on paper and textiles.
Jeffery Skinner is a poet and photographic artist. Skinner’s photographs reflect an implied narrative, a fragment of a story the viewer may complete, a moment holding past, future, and present in meditative suspension.
PYRO Gallery is a cooperative composed of 19 member/artists who work in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, drawing, glass, photography, printmaking, textiles, and mixed media. The gallery is located at 909 East Market Street, Suite 300, in the NuLu district.
PYRO Gallery is open 12 PM to 6 PM on Thursdays thru Saturday, or by appointment. The gallery is open late during artist receptions and First Friday Trolley Hops. Admission to PYRO Gallery is FREE and open to the public.
