Deborah Brownstein was drawn to photography by her love of nature. Specializing in macro/close-up images, she has won
several regional awards (including the 2012 LEO photo contest) and has had her work displayed in several gallery shows,
including the 2015 and 2017 Louisville Photographic Biennials, at the Living Arts and Science Center in Lexington and
a multi-artist, aluminum-print show at Unique Imaging Concepts.
She has published five books and has images displayed in several settings, including a permanent gallery at the
Purdue Technology Center in New Albany, Ind., and a door in the Louisville Downtown Partnership’s Alley Gallery outdoor art project.
She also is a board member and past president of the Louisville Photographic Society.
