I believe land makes people who they are. The relationship you have with the land you’re on sets the cornerstone of your being.
It doesn’t matter if you live in a small apartment in a dense city or on hundreds of acres in the middle of nowhere.
When that relationship is severed, identity is lost. That’s what’s happening to the land where I grew up around Utica, Indiana.
HomeLands is a landscape project that incorporates subjective truths and a documentary style that turns the work in
to creative non-fiction.
Road Less Traveled
Featuring Daniel Andis
And after years of dreaming I’ve sold everything I own and set off on the open road. I’ve made this site as a sort of photo
journal of my travels. My map shows where I’ve been and where I plan to go. But like all great plans, mine is open to the whims
of the universe. The photos are really just a few highlights from my journey. And so, armed with little more than a backpack, a camera,
and a dream, I now take the road less traveled by. So it goes.
