Parallel to her photographs of unlikely subjects like vegetables and fruits turned personalities with attitude, and her “collaborations” with graffity artists and the elements mari mujica has produced a series of photo-ethnographies (portraits and testimonies) of Mothers and Daughters, Trans people, Latina Immigrants, Survivors of domestic violence and Women Veterans. Mari’s portraits compellingly highlight the “humanity and awesomeness of the individuals” she photographs.
