“As a photographer, I am drawn to the stories hidden within forgotten spaces—places that have been abandoned by people but reclaimed by time and nature. My work focuses on capturing the beauty and mystery in these forgotten places, not simply for their decay but for the spirit of lives once lived there. There is something deeply moving about witnessing the intersection of human history and the relentless passage of time. It’s in these spaces—where the past lingers and nature reclaims—that I find both solace and inspiration. In those empty places, I found parallels with my own life—the quiet struggle of loss, there building of self, and the transformation of emptiness into something full of meaning. Through this journey, I’ve learned that even in decay, there’s beauty, hope, and renewal.I find these abandoned spaces to be a reflection of both personal journey and the greater cycle of life.” — Tascha Sodan
