The Arts Association of Oldham County and Gallery 104 in La Grange will be part of the 2013 Photo Biennial, Louisville’s premier photographic event, to be held in October. During the Biennial, AAOC will host a photography exhibit and contest entitled “Old vs. New: A Matter of Perspective.” The exhibit is the fourth annual photography show to be held at Gallery 104. In an interesting twist, for this year’s exhibit, all entrants must use mobile devices such as cell phones and electronic tablets to capture the image, according to Ann Stroth, show chairperson.

A prospectus detailing the rules, entry details and awards for the winners can be found on the association’s website at aaooc.org. Entries will be displayed from September 24 to November 9 at Gallery 104, 104 East Main Street, La Grange, KY 40031. A reception and cash award presentation will be held on September 26 at the gallery from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.
Started in 1999, the Biennial celebrates artistic excellence in the rich and diverse medium of photography. This year, the Biennial will feature local, national and international photography, workshops, symposia, public discussions and more than 30 exhibitions to be held at sites throughout Metro Louisville.
