Asia Institute – Crane House will offer two exhibitions during the 2013 Louisville Photo Biennial.
The first, THE BEGINNING….
Features works by Siu Hao-ming, a Hong Kong-born Louisville architect. The photographs, taken during his first run or walk of the day, capture firsts: the first light, the first fog, the first shadow. Siu is driven by the aesthetics of composition. His photo prints on aluminum explore the proportions of line and space in abstract images.
The second, WANDERING ASIA
Reunites the works of duPont Manual High School photography students, alumni and teacher Wes Curtis. Each year they travel to Southeast Asia to explore new cultures through photography and receive practical education in the field.
There will be an opening reception on September 27th at 6pm. The show will close on January 17, 2014.
Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 9:30am-4:30pm, Closed Wednesdays and Weekends.
