Curated by Sustaining Board Member Roanne Victor and presented in partnership with The Courier-Journal, 50 Years, 50 Great Moments will be on display at Actors Theatre of Louisville’s Gallery from August 17 through October 26, 2013.

Uncover the drama in this unique exhibition revealing 50 years of Actors Theatre’s history. Featuring an assorted array of professional photographs from the vaults at Actors Theatre and the archives of The Courier-Journal this exhibition provides a sweeping look at five decades worth of achievements, both on and offstage. Join us as we take visitors on a photographic journey through iconic moments in Actors Theatre’s history.  

The exhibition will run concurrent with the following theatrical productions: Noises Off, September 3 – 22; Dracula September 13 –October 31, and The Mountaintop October 8 – 27.

From a grassroots theatrical venture housed in a rough and tumble loft space on Fourth Street, Actors Theatre has grown into one of the most important regional theatre companies in America, and occupies almost an entire square block in the heart of downtown Louisville. Actors Theatre’s 2013-2014 season line-up includes; Noises Off, Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula, The Mountain Top, Tom Jones, Fifth Third Bank’s A Christmas Carol, The Pirates of Penzance and Our Town, plus nine world premieres during the Humana Festival of New American Plays.
